Hiring a landscape contractor is a leap of faith. You can’t see what you’re buying until the work is done. In fact, it will probably be years until you realize all that the contractor did right, and wrong. Much of the work you’re paying for is what you will see only during the installation process. The money, time, experience, and most importantly, knowledge, invested into your landscape is of great importance. It is precisely these details which will make the difference between an installation that is in a slow and perpetual state of drifting, moving, sliding and dying, as opposed to landscaping that is static, safe, and satisfying, flourishing for years and years.

We will perform every step described in our estimate, most likely even more. Look at what other proposals have outlined and assume nothing. Don’t compare apples to mangoes. Ask them questions, ask me, share the estimates with other bidders, ask more questions. Ask to see a certificate of insurance, certifications, photos, referrals from past clients, etc. Also, consider the fact that the entire construction industry hinges on the costs of petroleum. Fuel was burned to get it, plant it, grow it, dig it, make it, and move it to give it a final home. If you’re considering putting some phases off, consider this: Will the interest on a loan cost you more than increases in oil pricing?
